Along with the ever-changing business environment like the increasing participation of stakeholders and growing importance of value in businesses, companies around the world

continuously developed their corporate sustainability in the strategies, operations, value chains and disclosure. Since the
launch
of the 'Blueprint for Corporate Sustainability Leadership' by the UN Global Compact in 2010, UNGC participating companies are asked to accelerate the integration of the UNGC values into their core businesses, changing their management paradigms. In this plenary session,

what would be

Subject: Human Rights & Women's Empowerment Principles
UNGC launched the "Women's Empowerment Principles-Equality Means Business" in 2010, offering a new standard in the enhancement of gender equality and women's power. Many businesses are realizing that gender equality can boost the company's competitiveness and
innovation. This session will cover how companies can incorporate gender equality values into practices
and how companies can extend best practices into their supply chain. While increasing number of companies adopted this principle, there are still many challenges and glass ceilings. conference will discuss effective ways in dealing with these challenges with the participation of representatives of governments, NGOs and companies.

Subject: Sustainable Investment & Corporate Value Enhancement
With mounting evidence s that show socially responsible investing produces competitive returns, a growing number of state pension funds, university endowments and foundations are engaging in SRI or RI. Furthermore, environmentally themed investment products and services are being introduced to better respond to the growing interest on corporate sustainability issues. Plenary Session 2: Corporate Disclosure and Socially Responsible Investment
As corporate sustainability develops, SRI/RI has also enhanced from mere negative screenings to active integration of ESG issues in investor decision-making, as can be shown in the case of the Bloomberg Professional service. With the development of each side, the connection between corporate sustainability and SRI is also getting closer. While companies are ever more required for the transparency in ESG issues with sophisticated indexes, more investors recognize that activities of these responsible companies can lead to reaping returns. In this session, the global trend on SRI will be introduced and one will highlight new data that shows positive relations between corporate sustainability and performance.
